Today is World Breast Pumping Day. I primarily nurse my son, but I also pump once a day. I have a very ambivalent relationship with pumping. I hate being plugged to something and waking up in the middle of the nigh to pump, but I love that by pumping my husband can get to feed our son, as well as my in-las when our son is with them. Being that my son is exclusively breastfed, pumping has played a key role in making this happen. I’m thankful for the option of pumping. I also applaud the amazing women who exclusively pump and those who bless other mamas with milk for their babies.
