The need for foster parents in general is huge, but the need for foster parents of teens is especially urgent. I understand why people don’t — it’s pretty daunting! But now that I have a bit of experience, I realize that it doesn’t have to be as scary as I thought.

In this video, I’m sharing the insights I’ve gotten over the past few years as a foster (and now adoptive) parent of a teenager. My experience is limited, but I feel confident that what I’m going to share in this video will be helpful if you decide to open your heart and home to a teenager in foster care.
